In loving memory of Robert Rungkat

We’ve created this page in honour of our beloved dad, Rob, who was taken from us far too soon. Dad was a passionate, creative, fiercely loyal man who loved his family deeply and lived with courage and humour, even when life was challenging.

Dad lived with epilepsy for most of his adult life. There’s no understating the profound impact this condition had on the way he navigated the world, but he never let it define him. Like so many people living with epilepsy, he was let down at times by systems that should have helped him. And yet, he kept going. For us, for himself, and for the people he loved.

Dad was a big supporter of the Epilepsy Foundation which is why we’re raising funds in his name. The Epilepsy Foundation is an organisation working to ensure that no one with epilepsy has to face it alone. They work to prevent avoidable deaths, support kids to succeed in school, help people find and keep meaningful work, and fund the kind of research that gives families like ours hope.

Every dollar counts, and every contribution in Dad’s name helps carry his memory forward. We also love hearing how he touched the lives of those around him, so please feel free to share your favourite memories or things that remind you of him.
