I’m taking part in Walk for Epilepsy around Australia because...

Our son was barely 16 months old when we found him in his cot unresponsive on a February morning. The following months were very emotional and stressful as they were filled with multiple ambulance rides and stays at the Royal Children's Hospital where he was eventually diagnosed with Epilepsy.

He is now almost 3 and we will be monitoring him for seizures for the rest of his life.

It can be very confronting to see your own child have a seizure, but the Epilepsy Foundation was there to help our family with emergency training and support.

I have chosen to participate in the Walk for Epilepsy in 2020. I want to make a difference for people living with epilepsy, I'm not a doctor or nurse, but walking is something I can do! Please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about the walk, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot to us!
