My Updates

Day 10

Friday 9th Oct
I'm 9 days into a 25 day #walkforepilepsy to raise help raise funds for Epilepsy Foundation Australia. There needs to be more awareness about this insidious condition as 1 in 25 are affected by it. My son Liam passed away on 23/4/20 of Sudep.  At 41 this young man, a loving father, brother, uncle, friend and buddy left a huge gap in all our lives long before his time. My walking is my way of keeping his memory alive. If you feel moved to donate to this cause in his memory it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much to all those who have already contributed.  Leah.

An update..

Thursday 8th Oct
Day 8 of Walking for Epilepsy and I have done about 41 k's so far and raised $2,500. If you would like to help raise awareness about Epilepsy support the #walkforepilepsy and contribute. I am walking in Memory of my son Liam Gibb who died unexpectedly of an Epileptic Seizure on 23/4/20. Nothing will bring him back but I may be able to help others recover with more knowledge of this difficult condition.

Into the unknown

Wednesday 30th Sep
My son Liam was diagnosed with Epilepsy in February 2019 just prior to his 40th Birthday. Owing to his work and lifestyle it was difficult to keep track of his health but he did knuckle down to taking the medication he was prescribed. It was also a challenge to meet appointment dates and it was difficult to keep seizures at bay.  Sadly Liam lost his battle with Epilepsy on 23rd April 2020 just 14 months after his diagnosis and 11 days after turning 41. My beautiful son Liam, father to Ocean, sister to Sharlee, brother to Daniel, friend to Matt and Struan and buddy to all is gone from our lives and we are all the poorer for it. We miss you and love you Liam Gibb.  🧡
