It’s been 10 years - November 2023 - since our beloved Rosie died from
Sudden unexpected death in
epilepsy (SUDEP).
It’s defined as the sudden
and unexpected, non-traumatic and non-drowning death of a person with epilepsy,
without a toxicological or anatomical cause of death.
Glenda and I are two
parents who wish to celebrate the life Rosie had.
We want to contribute to a
better quality of life for people with epilepsy and support researchers,
seeking to work towards a future without it.
Exciting advances are being made in this field of medical
research but funding is always welcome.
For Make March Purple, March 26,
this year, we would like you to consider donating to our fundraising page to assist with medical research into this condition.
You can find more
information about SUDEP at https://epilepsyfoundation.org.au/managing-epilepsy/health-and-wellbeing/sudep/
Any gift is worthwhile.
